I created five looks that were displayed on the runway in 2025. The first look is for the section "Career Wear." For this section, I was instructed to create a look that includes pants with a fly and a blazer. I decided that instead of creating a traditional career look, I would go outside of the box due to the loose guidelines. The eyeball patches are crochet, which were all entirely crocheted by me.
The second look is my swimwear look. This look includes a strappy one piece with hand bedazzled skulls and bloomer style swim shorts. The one piece is held together by metal rings at various points.
The next look is athleisure. I created this look in the same class as swimwear, in which we were learning about the patternmaking and sewing of knit fabrics. My athleisure look includes a cropped hoodie, halter top, and sweatpants. There is a printed design on the back of the pants, also designed by me.
Next is my Nontextile look. For this look, we had to make a garment out of something that isn't fabric. I used mainly cellophane and a holographic plastic tablecloth. The tablecloth is used as the base, and the cellophane adds layers. I also used plastic water bottles, acrylic paint, and pearl beads.
Finally, the last look I designed is the Reconstructed look. This scene was all about repurposing and upcycling. The requirement was that the look needed to be 90% remade. I created this denim two-piece set using fabric from four different old pairs of jeans. I also used eyelets, safety pins, and ribbon for embellishment.
