Who Am I?

My inspiration as a fashion designer comes from the world around me. I like to travel and get inspiration from art, architecture, nature, and historical garments. I recently had the opportunity to study abroad, and it was very inspirational to observe art and architecture from other cultures. Additionally, I enjoyed getting to visit fashion museums and observe the unique and timeless garments.
My aesthetic is outside of the box. A big part of my aesthetic is incorporating upcycling into my pieces. I like using repurposed materials in a grunge-like, patchwork-like style that represents my passion for sustainability. I like to experiment with unique silhouettes, cutouts, and shapes. Additionally, I like to combine different mediums, such as a blazer I made, where I combine woven fabrics with crochet appliques. Overall, I like creating garments that are eye-catching, unique, and encompass recycled or repurposed materials.
My goal in the fashion industry is to make an impact. My passion lies in sustainable fashion, and I want to make a difference in the industry regarding this. One way I strive to do this is through using repurposed materials and upcycling. My goal is to work for a brand that uses ethical labor practices and is sustainability conscious. Ultimately, I would love to continue working with repurposed materials in the future, and I especially would like to continue showcasing my creativity through my unique designs.
